Hi Guys, I am starting this post with a review of my own Honda Civic. It would be great to hear from all of you about your experiences of the Civic.
I purchased my car 7 years back when in college. I had purchased a used model a, 90 civic. The main things i was looking from the car was reliability, one of the best fuel efficiency, low maintenance and a decent fun to drive car. Finally after looking at many places the civic was able to fit within my budget. I purchased it for around $5,500 with a bit from my savings and remaining part pooled by my parents. I should say that although driving a used car it was a real great car for me. I had purchased it at 140,000 miles and now it has 220,000 miles on it. It has needed very few major repairs and all i do is to follow the service schedule and follow the basic maintenance tips. Even now i see a great interest in these cars, even the used ones which are like 15 years old. That speaks a lot about their overall build quality. I have done many round trips from New York to Florida in this car and not once was i left stranded by the road. Besides this is one of the most inexpensive cars to own and can save a great deal of cash.
The current status of the car is that i am still using it as a daily driver to my job place and drive around 70 miles daily in it. Got a paint job on it recently and did some minor modifications. I plan to save some good cash and go for a full tuning of this car next summer. The mileage i get with mixed driving is in excess of 32mpg and the overall handling of the car is still great.

I had a 93 civic and it was really great during my earlier years in job. while i saw my friends pay off huge loans on their new car with their hard earned money i was able to really save in those early years on gas, maintenance and loan. finally i got a prius last year still keeping the 93 civic with me. the odometer reads 210,000 miles and still the car runs as great as any new car.

I purchased a 91 civic around 10 years back when i was in college. it was a great car and i used to get a great mpg in it. this was a great beater and i used it to its max during my college time. eventually i used it as a daily driver in the starting 2 years of my job and because of all the rough usage i had to finally let go the car but it was a great experience.
